Juniors ready to roll

MJT golf season concludes with 2-day championship

The Missouri Golf Association’s Missouri Junior Tour will come to a conclusion this weekend at Eldon Golf Club.

A total of 63 golfers competing in nine divisions will compete in the invitational-only Missouri Junior Tour Championship. Five divisions will play 18 holes today and Sunday, while the remaining four will play just nine holes each day.

The first tee time for today’s opening round is 11 a.m. Monday’s final round will start at 8:30 a.m.

The winners of each age division will be recognized following Monday’s round.

Leading the boys 16-18 yearold division is Eldon’s Teagen Hull, who won the Missouri Junior Amateur Championship this summer.

Also competing in the boys 16-18 division are Jefferson City’s Dylan Bryan, Eldon’s Luke Barchenski, California’s William Boyd, Linn’s Jett Maasen and Britt Winslow, Ashland’s Jacob Anderson and Mexico’s Aidan Knipfel.

Highlighting the girls 16-18 division is Jefferson City’s Camryn Swinfard, who recently competed in the Southern Junior Cup and won six events on the Missouri Junior Tour.

Also playing in the girls 16-18 division are Lake Ozark’s Hanna Maschhoff, Columbia’s Kate Ryan, Boonville’s Zoey Lang and Centralia’s ReaLee Smith and Kennedy Dickerson.

Other Jefferson City golfers playing in the Missouri Junior Tour Championship are Jordan Shivers, Dawson Schnieders and Grayson Moore (boys 14-15 division); Morgan Meredith, Mia McGraw and Flynn Hamilton (girls 14-15 division); Anthony Forrest, Michael Atnip, Ty Brandt, Grant Chojnacki and Hunter Hovis (boys 12-13 division); Lily Caudle, Elly Wilson and McKenzie Martin (girls 10-13 division); and Grayson Atteberry and Bubba McGraw (10-11 boys division).
