MEADOWS

David Bruce Meadows, 58, of Columbia, Mo., went to be with the Lord Wednesday May 11, 2022, at Boone Hospital.

David was born on January 14, 1964, in Arlington, Va., the son of Richard Allen Meadows and Virginia Frances (Grandinetti) Meadows both of whom preceded him in death.

David was united in marriage on June 19, 1993, in Nashville, Tenn. to Dianna Richey Meadows.

David served as the General Manager of the Jefferson City News Tribune (and the Fulton Sun, California Democrat, HER Magazine and The Central Missouri Newspapers' commercial printing facility) for the past 2 ½ years. In his 30-year newspaper career, he served communities in Melbourne, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Savannah, Ga.; Topeka, Kan.; Dodge City, Kan. and Russellville, Ark. David loved spending his free time with his family and enjoyed any outdoor activity: tennis, sailing, biking, basketball, golf and mostly being on the water or the beach. He attended The Crossing in Columbia. He was a man who strove daily to grow in his faith and prayer life and would say he was imperfect daily but was saved by the grace of God. He was devoted to his wife and deeply liked, loved and was proud of his sons. He was a leader who believed in people and loved to push them to fulfill their potential. His success was the success of his colleagues.

David is survived by his wife Dianna and their sons Connor and Garrett; his siblings, Richard Meadows (Julie) of McLean, Va.; Carol Meadows-Degner (Reggie) of San Diego, Calif.; John Meadows (Susan) of Orlando, Fla.; his aunt, Eleanor Averill of Concord, N.H. and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at The Crossing.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made to the ministries that he supported: The Crossing of Columbia, Mo., Vitae Foundation of Jefferson City, Mo., The Boys and Girls Club and The Salvation Army of Russellville, AR.
