3 hurt in JC crashes

A Jefferson City man was injured when his car crashed early Sunday morning in Jefferson City.

Police report Chingamuyeye Sichone, 21, was driving a car southbound on U.S. 54 at 3:34 a.m. when it failed to negotiate the curve at Madison Street, ran off the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned.

Sichone, who was not restrained at the time of the crash, was transported by ambulance to a Columbia hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

• Two people were hurt when a car and motorcycle collided Saturday evening at the intersection of Missouri Boulevard and Georgia Street.

Malik Davis, 24, of Jefferson City, and Andrew Good, 29, of Fulton, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital following the 6:20 p.m. crash. Good received minor injuries, while Davis was later transferred to a Columbia hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The investigation found Good was driving a car westbound on Missouri Boulevard when he made a left turn and collided with the eastbound motorcycle operated by Davis, who was thrown from the bike. Davis was wearing a helmet, and Good was wearing a seat belt at the time.
