HENLEY

Brandon Michael Henley, 30, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022.

Brandon was born June 13, 1991, in Jefferson City, the son of Kenneth Wayne and Gina Marie (Trenary) Henley.

He was married June 11, 2021, in Jefferson City, to Erica Lucinda Davis, who survives at the home.

Brandon attended St. Peter Interparish School through eighth grade and was a 2009 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After graduation, Brandon attended Columbia College.

He was employed with ABB as a Coil Winder since 2015. Before his time at ABB, he worked for various fast-food restaurants and Wiggins Lawncare.

Brandon’s biggest passion was his young son, Emmitt, because his whole world revolved around him. Together, they made many trips to Runge Nature Center where they attended different events throughout the week, walked the trails and came to watch the turtles swim. Brandon and Emmitt loved going to Central Dairy and fishing together. They were truly the best of friends and did everything together.

He found peace being in nature and where he loved spending time with his family and friends. Brandon could be found with a line in the water, often trout fishing at Bennett Springs and fishing at his father-in-law’s home. Brandon loved being on the mid-Missouri streams, no matter if he was fishing or going on float trips with his friends. He enjoyed guns and had a broad collection of firearms. Brandon was excited for the upcoming turkey and deer season to start hunting again because he had enjoyed that when he was younger.

Brandon had an outgoing personality and a genuine nature about him. With his creative mind, he liked drawing and doodling, creating different stories with what he had drawn. Brandon loved being with his family, whether that was family game nights, family holiday get-togethers, or just being able to hang out and spend time together. The fourth of July was one of his favorite holidays because he looked forward to lighting off fireworks most of the day. He will be remembered for his patient and caring nature, being a little hard-headed and for the deep love he had for his son, Emmitt.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Erica Henley, of Jefferson City, Mo.; two children, Emmitt Henley and his unborn child due in July; mother, Gina Henley, of Jefferson City; father, Ken Henley (wife, Chris), of Lake Ozark; brother, Zachary Henley, of Columbia; half-brother, Rob Henley, of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Robert Ray Trenary Sr., of Eugene; and Shirley Sue Scott, of Jefferson City; step-brother, Taylor Allen (wife Maeg) and their children Ezrah, Franklin and Scarlett, of Jefferson City; step-sister, Nikki Haupt (husband Mason), of Jefferson City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ruth Henley, and half-brother, Tyler Henley.

Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Freeman Mortuary.
