CLUB NOTES Cultured Pearls

The Oct. 2 Cultured Pearls meeting was held at West Point on West Main Street. President Peggy Hicks conducted the business meeting, welcoming guest La Lin Wilson. Wilson led the members in a game of word search. Prizes were won by Patsy Grefrath, Maxine Walker, Marilyn Deeken and Kathryn Maness. Hicks thanked the October hostesses, Phylis Imler, Kathryn Maness, Connie Wade and Betty Hymes.

Vice President Nancy Epple reported 25 members present and one guest. Libby Webb gave the treasurer’s report. Upcoming activities include: Oct. 19 “Girls’ Night Out” at Cajun Catfish and Oct. 22 visit to Moniteau County and bus to Boonville Casino.

Book club will be at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Domenico’s. The group will have a discussion on the book “Paris Library.” Pony Tail/Hand & Foot is on Mondays at Perkin’s, Bridge is the third Wednesday of the month at Hy-Vee, Game Day is the third Thursday at West Point, and Pinochle is the third Friday of the month at Las Trojas. Birthdays for September were Peggy Roemer, Marsha Tremaine, Phylis Imler and Maxine Walker. The next meeting will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at West Point on West Main.
