Clerk to offer absentee balloting at office Saturday

On Nov. 2, Jefferson City residents will vote on a one-quarter of 1 percent sales tax to improve public safety.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, the Cole County Clerk’s Office will be open from 8 a.m.-noon for those wishing to vote absentee. The office is located on the second floor of the courthouse annex on East High Street.

Absentee voting for the special election is available until 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at the clerk’s office.

If you’ll be out of town for the election, contact the clerk’s office at 573-6349101 about obtaining a ballot.
